"I would have no hesitation in recommending the system to others"
Location: Surrey
Heated Area: 60m˛
Underfloor System: 12/25

Dear Filip,

Thank you for your e-mail. We are very happy with our underfloor heating.

Installation of the system was quite time consuming but not difficult. The drying time for the glue was much longer than anticipated, more like two hours than the thirty minutes estimated in the instructions. This led to the floor panels taking much longer to install than we expected. Once the panels were fitted the installation of the pipework, the pump, manifold and controls was very straightforward. Setting up the system was no trouble at all.

Having gone through the last two winters without central heating in our home the improvement is massive. It is lovely to walk on a warm floor and the absence of radiators makes a big difference to the usable space for furnishings. The ability to control the temperature in individual rooms is excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending the system to others in fact I already have.

Kind regards,
- Nicola

"This is the best investment I have made to my home"
Location: London
Heated Area: 36m˛
Underfloor System: 12/25

Q: How was it like to install the system?
A: The installation is in the kitchen/lounge and hallway areas of the apartment. Our builders initially had doubts to the amount of work and complication involved, but after walking through the installation manual provided, they agreed with me that it is a straightforward process and no special skills is required. In addition, due to time constraints; I had worked alongside my builders to complete the installation of the floor panels. Overall this took 1 week to fix the panels and install the pipes. A further week to finish with tiles over the top. The materials are very light and easy to work with, it a perfect solution for installing over existing floors where the added height/load-weight of normal screeding is not an option (this apartment is on a second floor) and eletrical underfloor heating solutions are not cost effective in the long term.

Q: In what way has the underfloor heating system improved your home?
A: Having replaced the exisiting heating radiators with this; there is now more space for furnishings and it has improved the aesthetics of the apartment. The underfloor heating has allowed the use of tiles throughout the apartment without the discomfort of freezing cold floors. I am confident that this installation is an asset that has added value to the property.

Q: Would you recommend this system to others?
A: Absolutely! This is the best investment I have made to my home.

Kind Regards,
- Ken

"It seems very well made and the components are of good quality"
We were renovating our kitchen/diner and utility area and decided upon the Floorheater system after a lot of research. The main reason for choosing it was the low build height by utilising the 12.5mm system. The kit arrived a little late due to it not being in stock. This meant that we were pushed into installing it in only one day rather than the two I had anticipated, having booked the plumber to pressure test it and the floor tiler to lay the porcelain tiles. In an empty space of around 22 square metres, I started at 8am. The most difficult thing was deciding upon the pipe layout so that the four pipe ends would arrive back at the manifold correctly. This took quite some time and a lot of cutting of the base boards to configure the pieps. However, once this was done, the layout of the rest of the floor was quite quick. Glueing down the boards was a messy business and by the time we had finished we were well and truely covered in adhesive. We also had to infill the area under the new kitchen units and we used marmox board of the same thickness. However, I feel it would have been easier if Floorheater could provide some blank boards to fill in these areas, as the marmox was not entirely flat and we had to resort to heavy weights to ensure that it stayed flat whilst the adhesive cured. Placing the plastic piping in the grooves was easy but you do need two people. We did get to a point when we thought that we may not have enough of one pipe but we did and had only about 1 metre left!

Whilst Floorheater state that the floor can be overtiled directly, our professional tiler strongly recommended that he laid Ditramat decoupling material first which he did.

Whether he was just being ultra cautious I don't know, but he did say that he had had problems when not using this mat.

Following the tiling, the floor was commissioned and we are very pleased with the improvement in our comfort levels. In fact we sometimes have to turn the thermostsat down as the rooms now get very warm indeed. We have incorporated a timer for the pump which I was a little surprised was wired to run constantly. I enquired of Floorheater and was informed that this was normal, but I didn't want to waste electricity and increase the wear on the pump so the timer switches on shortly after the heating is programmed to come on and off when the heating goes off.

Overall, we are pleased with the system. We will be undertaking some more works in the future and will buy an additional system for our living room. If you are fairly competent at DIY and are prepared for a long time on your knees, then this system is ideal. It seems very well made and the components are of good quality.

"One of the best decisions I made on this renovation project"
Dear Filip

I am really happy to write about the floor heater system I had installed, it was one of the best decisions I made on this renovation project.

We installed the underfloor heating in our lounge kitchen and bathroom, and it is performing magnificently. Due to the fact we are on the ground floor and surrounded by higher buildings on each side, it was rather a cold space before but the floor heating system has completely transformed this. It provides a much better source of heating than the radiators did - it heats in an even way and you don't get that "dry" feeling you get from radiators.

>From a cost perspective, I got a rebate on my gas use last year so it must be more cost effective than the previous system.

The reason we chose this particular system was because we didn't have enough floor to ceiling space in the kitchen for alternative water underfloor heating, we have a sloping roof which leads to a door so we had limited space to play with. It was a good decision. The floor heater system did the job perfectly, taking up only xx cms (sorry cant remember exact dims). the builders found it easy to install. My dad is an architect in Canada and he was also impressed with the system.

I have used slate floor tiles (which would normally be too cold) they look amazing and are lovely to walk on - everyone comments when they come in. This is definitely an asset as far as the value of the flat is concerned.

If we ever move from here I will install exactly the same heating system!

We did the installation in two stages - first the lounge, then next year the kitchen and bathroom. Both times Floor heater was great company to deal with, so many thanks for the service.

Regards
- Cathy

"The Conservatory feels as though it is part of the house"
Three separate installations have been conducted so far. The underfloor heating system in the Kitchen and Conservatory were all done using the 25mm system and were run from a combined manifold added to the existing central heating system. The combined manifold and controller is in the two pictures. The system was covered with ceramic tiles. This system has been operational now for over a year and has proved effective and runs without any audible noise. It took a little effort to get the programming of the separate underfloor controller to cover the times that the master heating controller was programmed to work, but this seems to now run without problem. The floor is always comfortable to walk on and the Kitchen and Conservatory both seem very comfortable when moving around. In fact the Conservatory feels as though it is part of the house. Using the floor to warm the room frees up the walls of radiators and thus gives added space in the room.

Installation was relitavely simple and the instructions provided a simple step by step procedure to conduct the installation.

See additional [testimonial below] for the EnSuite system.

"The floor is wonderful to enter with bare feet in the morning"
This installation was the first for me with the thinner insulation and the single manifold of the Box System. The installation was simple with connection to the existing central heating system using the existing feed pipes having removed the radiator that was previously in the room. The installation was one single pipe run, and the ceramic tiles were laid directly on top of the heating. The position for the manifold and pump was to be just behind the bath panel as can be seen from the before and after pictures. Temperature control was effected by an OEM wireless temperature controller and mains timer control to allow power to the pump when the primary Central Heating Controller was set to operate the boiler. The supplied thermostat shown in the picture was eventually removed.

The floor is wonderful to enter with bare feet in the morning, and the room feels warm at all times. A heated Towel Rail was added to the left hand wall as shown in the picture.

"Extremely impressed"
I am extremely impressed with Floorheater ltd and their product. In fact, I intend to extending my system to the whole of the downstairs of my house this year. I found Floorheater's customer service to be excellent. Never having installed anything like this before I had several question about compatible flooring and best practice, both at purchased time and when I was installing, all were answered quickly. I didn't feel I'd been left on my own after sale. The system was simple and quick to install. And most importantly I'm delighted with the way it improves the feel of the room.

"The room is cosy all year round"
I am more than happy with my underfloor heating system. I bought The Box for my extension of a garden room and a tiny utility room and downstairs cloakroom.

My builders laid the concrete floor for an electric underfloor system, but my parents had one fitted in the meantime and it was extremely expensive to run, so I was keen to find an alternative. I was also put off by the possibly harmful electro-magnetic field given off by some electric systems. Traditional water systems seemed to be out of the question by this stage, as I already had my concrete base and had not allowed extra height, but when I found the Floorheater system online, it answered all my problems. It did actually seem to good to be true!

If you are used to DIY projects, fitting the flooring is no problem. We had a tricky space with an off-centre manhole cover and two tiny rooms to go into, but with a bit of planning, it was fine. Our main problem was the glue. We could not find the correct sized applicator in the shops, and ended up with too much glue on the floor which would not dry. Luckily we borrowed the right one from a local carpet fitter, and it was fine after that!

The system is in a room with glass doors and a section of glass roof. We already had a radiator installed which did not keep the room warm enough when it was very cold outside. Since we have had the Floorheater system in, the room is cosy all year round, and is actually warm enough without the rad on. We have a tiled floor and it is so nice to walk on.

It was the perfect solution to our dilemma. I would definitely recommend it. We had to have a plumber fit the system to our heating system, which was rather expensive. But with the electric system, we would have had to pay an electrician anyway.

And the box does come in handy too. We reinforced it and used it to transport our 14 foot long Burmese python!!

"Compliments the minimalist design"
Location: London
Heated Area: 38m˛
Underfloor System: 12/25

The Floorheater system was chosen because it can be installed over an existing concrete floor, saving on cost and making the heat up time a lot more responsive than traditional in floor slab systems. Whilst similar systems exist they don't have the foil layer which helps to reflect heat into the flooring, rather than it being absorbed in the floor slab. The system was simple to install and compliments the minimalist design, which flows through the rest of the house.

"A complete success"
The system is a complete success and very pleased with it. Installing it was straight forward and the support I had from you regarding what I needed for my particular application was excellent. The kitchen is always pleasantly warm, which being in a basement is important for both comfort and preventing condensation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the system (and have done) to others.

"Dealing with your company has been an absolute pleasure"
Location: Chamonix Mont Blanc, FRANCE
Heated Area: 160m˛
Underfloor System: Ground Floor, 12/25; Lower Floor, 12/12

I just wanted to convey my sincerest appreciation for the system you provided us for our new chalet build in The Alps! From start to finish, dealing with your company has been an absolute pleasure.

When we were thinking about which system to install into our project, we knew it had to be efficient enough to work well in an region where temperatures can drop as low as -25 degrees Celsius! We also wanted a system that was thin… typically, French builders use a 6 - 8cm ‘chape’ (scree floor) into which the heating pipes are buried – by contrast, we wanted to retain as much ceiling height as possible but still be able to tile and lay wood flooring directly onto the heating tiles. The Floorheater system enable us to do that.

Based on recommendations from other people in Chamonix who have used the Floorheater system, we contacted the rep for mainland Europe, Glenn, who was fantastic right from the beginning. He asked all the right questions to determine our requirements; monitored the order right up to delivery and was on hand at any stage to answer any installation queries we had.

Our heating engineer was so impressed with the Floorheater package that he went so far as to say that, of the 30 or so systems he’s installed in his time, this was easily the best he’d seen and worked with. And our plumber wants to buy a system for his own house! Nuff said, I think..?

So thank you and well done on creating such an excellent product and for having such a good team to back it up with. You have an honourable mention on our blog:

"The system is working really well and the client is over the moon with the performance, we must also comment on the ease of the installation
Thanks for your help with this and hopefully we will place further orders in the coming months."

"I would certainly recommend floorheater"
The floorheater system is easy to install with basic DIY skills. Not having any radiators taking up useful wall space is reason enough to choose this type of heating. At just 12mm for the thin system the increase in floor height really isn't an issue and is well worth giving up for a nice warm floor. The service throughout the ordering process has been first rate, and the after sales service is equally good, with prompt and clear answers to any technical / installation questions. I would certainly recommend floorheater to anyone considering under floor heating.

"Would recommend to anyone"
"We found the floor heating a great advantage to the conservatory, no radiators to fit around with the furniture. Well pleased with the kit you sent, and would recommend to anyone. If we move again I'll be in touch."

"Fantastic product & Fantastic Company to deal with"
We would highly recommend this underfloor heating system without hesitation.

The way in which "Floorheater" package and supply this product adds to the ease of ordering. The levels of service were excellent from ordering to delivery and most importantly the customer service and prompt advice given. Filip was most helpful in providing a suggested layout for us and even went the extra mile to split our delivery to ensure we had the insulation boards in time to suit our schedule. The kit contained everything we needed to complete the job and came with very clear instructions.

We own two businesses, "Forever Flooring" & "Stone 2 Tile Ltd" We supply and install all types of hard flooring and have worked with many different types of under floor heating systems in the past. We discovered this product at one of our customers' houses when we were installing stone tiles on top. They were extremely impressed with the result and so were we. Due to the very low build height we were able to install this into our own kitchen even though the subfloor was already there, previously we would only have been able to consider electric.

Our kitchen had always been a very cold room and in the redesign we were exchanging two large radiators for one smaller radiator, it turns out we didn't even need that radiator, the underfloor heating is the only supply of heat we now use in that room. As you would expect as the owners of "Stone 2 Tile"; we have installed natural stone on top which always works far more efficiently with underfloor heating than other tiles but even we were amazed with the results. As soon as we turn the thermostat on we can feel it warming up, the top temperatures it can reach are unbelievable it's like walking on a huge radiator therefore we only ever need it set at a low temperature otherwise we would be wearing slippers to stop our feet from burning rather than keeping them warm!

This product is far superior to any other system we have used and now we have tried and tested it in our own home we will definitely be recommending it to our customers.

Many Thanks

"A+++++"
We are very happy with our new Floorheater underfloor heating system. We installed it ourselves in a weekend, and connected it to the existing heating system without problems. It wasn't difficult to install or connect. It works as expected: it heats the room. It's not a cheap system, but the thinnest on the marked and delivery and installation was good. Would buy again A+++++

"Floorheater is excellent value..."
The manual was easy to follow and the installation was straight forward. Both my builder and plumber were impressed by the quality of the components.

The ease of laying natural stone tiles and a wooden floor on top of the system and the good technical backup from Filip were major factors in choosing Floorheater.

It, together with insulation to the external walls, has transformed a cold part of the house into a warm and cosy area. A real success and it also works well with the new condensing boiler. The system has impressed all that have seen it and appreciated its performance. Floorheater is excellent value and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Many thanks

"I would strongly recommend the system..."
We are delighted with our underfloor heating system it works wonders

The installation of the system was really easy, I was personally able to lay the insulating material and thread the pipes around the grooves in the polystyrene, this was time well spent as I did not have to pay a plumber his hourly rate to do an easy job

The basement was hardly ever used before as it was cold and uninviting, now it is a spectacular room which is the most used room in the house.

I would strongly recommend the system, it is easy to use and install, it is efficient and in many homes that do not have great ceiling height you now have the under floor heating option which is a design must

Happy new year. take a look at my site Capella Shutters

"I would highly recommend this system to others..."
I would just like to say that I am very pleased with the system I bought from you. So much so that I'm concidering installing more systems in a different locations of the house! And after enduring one winter with no heating in the house it was great to have this system installed in time to see us through this recent cold snap. I can safely say the heat generated from the underfloor heating has been consistent and warm and hopefully cheaper than running radiators.

I'm not a plumber but have a general knowledge of how plumbing all works but even that knowledge wasn't necessary to fit this system. The instructions were incredibly clear and easy to follow even with the awkward shaped room I had to work with. Once the pipe lay out was worked out the entire installation took 2 days, there is no way you could fit radiators to match the heat out put in the same time.

The simple way the system has improved our home is that we have a 409 square foot living area to heat and we have done that without any radiators, which would take up all the wall space. The heat is consistent through out the room, not to hot and not to cool it is perfect. I would highly recommend this system to others, for its ease of installation, its heat out put and it cost!

All the best
Damon

"Had I known how good it would be we would have put it all over the living room as well"
We laid it in our kitchen where there was no room for a radiator so that was excellent and we extended it into the living room where we have large bifold doors 6meters in length!
Had I know how good it would be we would have put it all over the living room as well and done away with radiators.
My wife and I discovered the product advertised where?
and we looked it up on the website.
Nobody else, plumber and the builder, had heard of it and all doubted that it would work.
You need a depth of 65mm minimum to sink the pipes etc so we were told!!
We were therefore taking a gamble.
I would definitely recommend it to others when there is already a concrete floor laid.
We are on the 4th floor of a block of flats!

Many thanks
Richard

"The children love playing on the wood floors"
Q: How was it like to install the system?
A: With the plans provided and some ingenuity the install proved to be quiet straight forward if a little more complicated and longer process that the advertising suggests (it does need 2 people to do) - but I accept that the length of time is partly down to shape of my house, which is much warmer now and the children love playing on the wood floors, we can't wait to install into the kitchen and conservatory, which will be under stone and will make a big difference to the rubbish radiators. The plumber who hooked it all up was also very pleased to have the help on the end of the phone when needed.

Q: In what way has the underfloor heating system improved your home?
A: More space (no rad's in strange places) and more consistent heat down stairs, having full height open areas of the house as well as enclosed rooms means the heat can be directed to the areas need and combined with the new air source heat pumps works really well in providing consistent level of heat through the core of the house

Q: Would you recommend this system to others?
A: Have already done so, many times. To plumbers and flooring fitters too.

"Fantastic System, Recommended"
"The floorheater system was exactly what we needed, with the minimum construction depths we required. No other system could be found close enough!

We required a system no thicker than 30mm (excluding floor covering ) to heat our existing concrete based conservatory.

Filip at floorheater was incredibly helpful in advising us on the correct panels required, and any further floor glues and underlay we required for the completion of the floor system.

The 12m2 insulated boxed system came quickly and installation was simplicity in itself, taking only 1 day for myself and my wife, with only a plumbers assistance for final testing and connection to our existing heating system. It couldn’t have been easier…

We have had the system running now for sometime, and are both delighted with the result, giving warmth and comfort to a section of our home often unusable in the winter months

We can’t recommend this system enough"

Thanks again

With respect to your product fitted in Kirklevington Cleveland, i found it quite easy to lay the grooved insulated boards on top of a concrete floor & run the pipe according to the plan you supplied. Even pairing the pipes to fit to the manifold, also flushing out the pipes using the 3/4 fittings on the end of the manifold. All i did was fit a outside tap next to the manifolds & use a washing machine hose to connect. Electician wired all 7 zone valve heads with the time clock & brains of the system leaving me with a 2 core cable to connect into the boiler, even the wireless stats are a good idea to save any chasing & running cables. Having everything already supplied to just fit together is a easy straight forward job to complete.

"We have been very pleased with the system - it wasn't too difficult for our builder to install it - who is so impressed with it, he is thinking of trying it in his own house. The best part of the system is having a diffuse source of heat - which keeps the room uniformly warm. Although it is too early to say, as we live in a draughty old house, we think this is requiring less heat to keep an entire room at a comfortable temperature. The room with stone tiles, in particular, works excellently. We certainly would recommend this to anyone looking at under floor heating and we will extend it into our kitchen when we next have that refurbished."

Renovation of an 18th century house in France
Location: The French Alps
Heated area: 148m^2 in two floors
Underfloor heating system: 'Thin 16'

"I waited with laying down the underfloor heating system until the very end of the renovation. I had even painted the walls and the ceilings when I started laying it down.

The system was very easy to put together. In fact, I did the whole installation on my own - I even rolled out and laid down all the pipe all by myself - and there were over 700 meters of it! The pipe didn't kink at all. I was amazed how pliable it was. It even went into very tight S shaped channels without any problem.

I'm very impressed with the system! It's very ergonomic, and the instructions are very straight forward."

"We're delighted with the result"
The Floorheater system was just what we was looking for: a simple solution to insulate an existing floor that could be tiled over with minimum time and expense. It was easy to lay and install, with excellent support from Floormaster when we needed it. We're delighted with the result; warm floors that give a far better quality of warmth to a room than our previous central heating, and no radiators!.

Installation in a 17th century cottage:
"We recently installed a Floorheater box system in our cottage from the 17th century. We did run into some problems regarding pipe lengths, but Filip at Floorheater helped us out with that straight away. All in all we are very happy with the system and we really recommend it!"

Jon and Julia wrote this about the Box system they had bought:
We will be ordering the same from you for our sunroom/extension - thats how pleased we are with it!
Unlike conventional underfloor heating it is very quick to respond so you can turn it up or down, on or off without having to worry about response times.

It really is easy to fit even in existing rooms as it does not raise the floor level very much at all.In our case we fitted travertine stone floor tiles directly on top and the system works fine.

We have already recommended your system and our builder, plumber and electrician will also be recommending it!!

kind regards
Jon+Julia
